New York Solgar Trip.
Greetings:
I had the tremendous pleasure of being invited to New York City last week by the vitamin company Solgar, to tour their facility that produces vitamin supplements. We all had to be dressed in head nets and sanitary lab coats to enter the plant. My wife, daughter and myself observed from start to finish how Solgar produces every herb, vitamin and nutritional product in their line. At the end of the day, I was speechless in regard to the quality control, cleanliness, standards of raw materials, extensive laboratory testing, research and bottling of Solgar products. Solgar has some of the best trained and experienced people in the industry and has a level of quality that is equal to any pharmaceutical company in this country. Solgar tests every raw material when it enters the plant for everything from radiation, heavy metals, pesticides, and any other substance that would be undesirable and rejects anything that does not meet their strict standards. I am not exaggerating when I say you can eat off the floor of the facility. Solgar even tests the air in the factory to insure no contaminants. The potency's of each product is guaranteed to have what the label claims all the way up to expiration date. I could not show pictures of the plant because of security reasons however rest assured I guarantee each and every product you purchase from Solgar is of the highest quality that can be achieved. During my tour we were also blessed with an all day nutrition training with 3 different experts in the field. I would like to show you photo's of the lecturers and summarize the amazing information that we learned from this event.
Robert Barry Ph.D spoke on the importance and explained the biochemistry of a relatively new product called Ubiquinol. Ubiquinol is the new version of CoQ10 which is involved in so many cellular processes involving aging, energy production in the cell, and reducing risks of many diseases. To summarize Dr. Barry’s seminar, he made it clear that blood levels of this new version of CoQ10 (ubiquinol) are vastly superior because the body does not have to breakdown the ubiquinol form, but regular CoQ10 requires 17 metabolic steps to achieve final absorption. Aging ALWAYS has a lowered CoQ10 blood level associated with it and I believe Ubiquinol is a major component that must be addressed for optimal health. The message was clear that anyone over 50 should consider adding ubiquinol to their supplement program. Jack Challem, (noted author of many health books) spoke clearly about the connection of Food and Mood. His latest publication, Food and Mood, shows how directly the intake of foods and nutrients can impact our depression, moods, anxiety, sleep disorders, enjoyment of life, etc. Mr. Challem showed how missing meals, over consuming carbohydrates and having nutrient imbalances can trigger the brain chemicals to cause every type of mood change possible. I believe many disregard the impact that our food choices have on our brain chemistry. Nutrition World has 2 lectures on the website that speaks further on this topic and they are Dr. Gray lecture and lecture on the truth about anti-depressants. We all felt very informed on this subject thanks to Mr. Challem lecture and more information is available at www.nutritionreporter.com
The last speaker was Dr. Hunninghake MD who runs “The Riodan Clinic” in Wichita Kansas and his clinic specializes in treating patients holistically. Dr. Hunninghake was so impressive when he spoke eloquently on why the body gets ill and what it takes to bring health back. The Riodan Clinic treats a variety of all health problems. He fully understood that disease is brought about from nutrient imbalances, toxins such as heavy metals, negative emotions, lack of sleep, poor absorption, gut issues and not simply bad luck. He also lectured on how taking several thousand milligrams daily of pantothenic acid vitamin had potential implications on improving weight loss and helping energy in his patients, (especially adrenal fatigue). I am adding 1000mg of pantothenic acid to my daily nutrients and will let you know the results. I encourage you to look at his website if you are looking for a clinic to help treat disease and help you return to health. The site is http://riordanclinic.org/
In all we spent two full days learning and I am thankful I can share some of this valuable information with all of you and I hope you find it helpful.
Till next time
